The terms and conditions that apply to our website and to the supply of our products and services.
1. About these terms
These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern the use of the Manor Garage Doors website and the supply of our garage door products, installation and repair services. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully. In these Terms, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Manor Garage Doors, and "you" refers to the customer or website user.
2. About us and how to contact us
Manor Garage Doors is a garage door supply, installation and repair business based in Harlow, Essex. You can contact us by email at info@manorgaragedoors.co.uk or by phone on 01279 452628.
3. Use of our website
Our website is provided for general information about our products and services. You may use it for lawful purposes only. You must not misuse the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or use it in any way that could damage or impair it. We may update or withdraw content at any time without notice.
4. Intellectual property
All content on this website, including text, images, logos, graphics and design, is owned by or licensed to Manor Garage Doors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute or use our content without our prior written permission.
5. Quotations and estimates
Any quotation or estimate we provide is based on the information available at the time and is valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Prices may be subject to change if the scope of work changes, if additional work is required, or if unforeseen circumstances arise. A survey may be required before a final price can be confirmed.
6. Orders and contracts
A contract between us is formed only when we confirm acceptance of your order, either in writing or by commencing the agreed work. We reserve the right to decline any order. You are responsible for ensuring that any measurements, specifications and access information you provide are accurate.
7. Pricing and payment
- Prices are quoted in pounds sterling and, where applicable, include or exclude VAT as stated on your quotation.
- A deposit may be required to confirm an order and to cover the cost of ordering materials.
- The balance is payable on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- We accept the payment methods stated on your invoice. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue amounts in accordance with applicable law.
8. Installation, surveys and access
You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the property and work area on the agreed date. If we are unable to carry out the work due to lack of access, unsafe conditions, or inaccurate information provided by you, we may charge for wasted time and any additional costs. Certain works may be subject to survey findings, site conditions, or the structural suitability of your property.
9. Your right to cancel (consumer cancellation rights)
If you are a consumer and entered into the contract off-premises or at a distance (for example, at your home or over the phone), you have the right to cancel within 14 days of entering into the contract under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, without giving a reason.
- To cancel, tell us clearly in writing (by email or post) within the 14-day period.
- If you asked us to begin work during the cancellation period, you may be required to pay for the work carried out up to the point of cancellation.
- The right to cancel does not apply to bespoke or made-to-measure goods that are manufactured to your specification, once work or ordering has begun.
10. Consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the goods we supply must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose, and our services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill. If a product or service does not meet these standards, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund or price reduction.
11. Guarantees and warranties
Many of the products we install carry a manufacturer's guarantee, and we provide a workmanship guarantee on our installation and repair work. The specific terms and duration of any guarantee will be set out in your quotation or invoice. Guarantees do not cover damage caused by misuse, accidental damage, wear and tear, or work carried out by third parties.
12. Our liability
We will carry out our services with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage that was not foreseeable, or that arises from your failure to follow reasonable instructions or to maintain the product. We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
13. Complaints
We aim to provide a high standard of service. If you are unhappy with any aspect of our products or service, please contact us at info@manorgaragedoors.co.uk or 01279 452628 so we can put things right. We will acknowledge your complaint promptly and work with you to resolve it fairly.
14. Privacy
We handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Please review it to understand how we collect and use your information.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on our website at the time you place an order will apply to your contract. Please check this page periodically for updates.
